Direct embroidery is a decoration technique in which designs are created through high-density decorative stitching directly on fabric. Artwork is converted into a digital file through a process that divides the design into a pattern of stitches, which are applied to the fabric by high-speed, computerized multi-head machines.
Sturdy fabrics such as twill, canvas and poly denier nylon; and caps and most outwear materials. Button-down shirts, jackets and bags produce crisp results; loose-knit shirts and caps can make small lettering and detail difficult. The stronger the fabric, the better the embroidery will look.
